Host will be the associated office Fonseca Moreti Ito Stefano Advogados; event will be in October, at the Palácio Tangará (capital of São Paulo)
Globalization has transformed the business landscape, allowing companies to reach markets beyond their borders. Following this expansion, the firm Balms Abogados, from Spain, founded in 1996, the Balms Group International (BGI), the first international organization of independent medium-sized offices of Iberian origin.
With a global network of more than 500 professionals distributed in 20 countries, BGI arrives in Brazil in October to promote its XXIV annual meeting. The event will be at the Tangará Palace, in the capital of São Paulo, and will be under the command of the office Fonseca Moreti Ito Stefano Advogados, associate of BGI in Brazil and host of the initiative.
The logic of the Balms Group, according to Washington Fonseca, partner of Fonseca Moreti Ito Stefano Advogados (FMIS) and director for the Americas of BGI, is that of cooperation. "If a customer of ours, a Brazilian, has business in Spain, England, Mexico (or another jurisdiction) and needs support in a BGI member country, we work together with the associated office there. It is a unique way of conceiving and understanding advocacy, optimizing costs, standardizing the quality of service, with a business vision oriented to the best international practices," he defines.
Headquartered in Madrid, Spain, BGI has associated offices on 05 continents. Each country listed has an office, with a vocation for international legal service, acting as a representative of the network. The insertion of new offices, as Washington Fonseca explains, takes place in a judicious way, evaluating the needs of each region. "Our bank, for example, operates exclusively in Brazil. We are always looking for the insertion of new nations or offices to the group, constantly relating to the business community and local authorities, including diplomatic authorities," he explains.
FMIS stands out in the areas of Corporate; Tax; Investigations and Compliance; Litigation; Commercial and Regulatory Agreements; Labor; Digital Law and Data Protection; Business Crimes, Asset Management, Medical Law, as well as Family and Succession.
